Release notes for Voltage Payments API release v6.6.0, published 2026-07-29.
- Unified Voltage Payments API documentation is now available in production at /v1/docs, with the OpenAPI document at /v1/openapi/docs.json. These exact-match routes retain ETag and If-None-Match support for efficient cache validation.
- Checkout session creation now accepts an optional customer-supplied payment_id. When provided, the same ID is used for session persistence, receive-payment creation, API responses, and webhook correlation through detail.data.id; when omitted, Checkout continues to generate the ID.
- Checkout browser snapshots now preserve display and requested amounts after payment generation, including converted USD checkouts settled over BTC rails. On-chain and BIP21 payment links retain their exact rail amounts, while legacy sessions avoid inventing amounts that were never persisted.
- Fulfillment wallet processing is more resilient under large transaction histories and concurrent activity. Expensive history projection runs outside the wallet lock, incremental broadcast updates remain visible, and stale background projections cannot overwrite newer wallet state.
